Charging VAT on immigration matters can be complex, as it depends on the client’s country of residence and their immigration status. We will confirm whether VAT (charged at 20%) is applicable once we have been formally instructed and are able to assess your specific circumstances. Please note that we are VAT registered.

We cannot guarantee how long the Home Office will take to process your application. You can view the current processing times on the Home Office website.

We aim to prepare and submit this type of application within 14 to 21 days of receiving your instructions. If it is likely to take longer, we will inform you as early as possible. We are also able to accommodate urgent or time-sensitive applications wherever possible.

We pursue compensation for a wide range of damages, including:

  1. Personal injury and pain and suffering

  2. Rehabilitation costs and medical expenses

  3. Loss of earnings — both past and future

  4. Care and assistance expenses

  5. Damage to personal property

  6. Vehicle repair or replacement costs

  7. Hire vehicle charges

  8. Recovery and storage costs for your damaged vehicle

For more complex immigration applications, we may only be able to offer our services on a time-spent basis.

Alternatively, you may choose to instruct us on an hourly rate arrangement. Below is an illustrative example of how our fees may be calculated:

Example of Hourly Rate Costs

  • Hourly Rate: £146.00 plus VAT

  • Estimated Time Required: 5 to 8 hours
(All figures exclude VAT unless otherwise stated.)

If you are able to provide all necessary documentation during our initial meeting and clearly satisfy the relevant Immigration Rules, the overall cost is likely to be towards the lower end of the estimated range.

The work will involve discussing your circumstances in detail to confirm whether this is the most appropriate application for you and to explore any alternative options that may be available. We will advise you on the requirements of the Immigration Rules and assess whether you meet the necessary criteria. If you do not meet certain criteria, we will consider whether these can be overcome and how, which typically takes around 1 hour. We will review the supporting evidence you provide, which we anticipate will take approximately 2 to 3 hours, depending on the volume of documents, whether they need translation, whether anything is missing, and how long it may take to obtain any missing information. Where necessary, we will assist you in obtaining further supporting documents such as medical records or bank statements, and we may also take witness statements if relevant. We will then prepare and submit your application on your behalf, a process that usually takes around 2 to 4 hours. If the Home Office invites you to an interview, we will provide clear guidance and discuss the possibility of attending the interview with you; this could involve 1 to 2 hours of work. Finally, we will advise you on the outcome of your application and any further steps you may need to take.

Disbursements, which are costs payable to third parties, are not included in the costs outlined above. These may include Home Office fees, which you will pay directly, interpreter fees (we will inform you of these upon instruction), and any expenses relating to appeals, medical or expert evidence, barristers’ fees, or VAT where applicable. Once authorised by you, we can handle payment of disbursements on your behalf to help ensure a smoother process.
